It wasn't worth 1700, I felt it was more like a $1200 car. Now I really want a jeep.

I bought this one for $1,500:
And spent a few weekends (and a little cash) turning it into this:
Time to go camping! Also, definitely get one. They're the easiest machines to keep alive and the cost to upgrade them is rivaled only by the 5.0 Mustang on the Epic Cheapness Scale.

I have never meet an unhappy Jeep owner, and with a Wrangler you meet a lot of Jeep owners!

Yeah, I paid 1800 for one that was probably in worse shape. They tend to be overpriced. Oh well, its still cheap for the amount of fun you get. Besides, that probably wouldn't cover the taxes on a new one.

At least where I live, Wranglers tend to be overpriced. If mechanically it was solid and the problems were just the aesthetics shown in that picture, $1,700 isn't that bad.

I have been curious what $2K would get me on the Jeep market. I had a 2011 Unlimited that I regretfully had to get rid of. I want a fun car more than a Jeep, but the pull of the Jeep remains.
